In this new translation of the 1,000-year-old epic Saxon poem, mourners at Beowulf's funeral eulogize his glorious life by telling and reenacting their favorite stories of the great hero's adventures: of monsters and dragons, kingdoms and battles, and the passing of an age of valour, pride and revenge. Both highly theatrical and true to the storytelling of the age, Beowulf features original music for the lyre, harp and other period instruments.
